Overall Format of CricIQ Season 4
CricIQ season 4 comprises of two phases: Phase I is called CricIQ Social which is played on Twitter, Phase II is called Powerplays which is played on the website www.criciq.com. Phase I will run for 3 weeks, from 18th April 2016 to 8th May 2016. Phase II will run for 3 weeks, from 9th May 2016 to 29th May 2016. The winners from each phase qualify for the next round of cricIQ i.e. the hangout-based semifinal round. Winners of semifinal rounds will battle it out in the grand finale of CricIQ Season 4 to be held in Bangalore
Phase Winners: 1 winner from every week of Phase I and 3 winners from every week of Phase II. This means a total of 12 winners qualify for semifinal round of cricIQ.
How to enter
Participants must login to their ESPNCricinfo, Facebook, Google+ or Twitter account, or register an account, to enter the contest.
Participants can reach the next stage of the contest (hangout round) if they finish as Weekly topper in the cricIQ Social phase or in the top 3 weekly winners in CricIQ game hosted on www.criciq.com. The questions will be cricket skill-based and will be of varying degrees of difficulty.

Entry to the Quiz is open for all but only residents of India aged 18 years or over at the date of entry are eligible for prizes. Employees of ESPN, their associated, affiliated and subsidiary companies and their families, agents, the Quiz sponsors, and any person connected with the Quiz are excluded from winning a prize. By taking part in the Promotion, participants warrant that all information submitted by them is true, accurate and complete. Proof of age may be required. The eligibility of any entrant is at the sole discretion of ESPN. This Offer/Contest is void where prohibited.

Google Hangout Stages
All eligible participants for the Hangout Stages will be informed of their qualification at least 2 days in advance of the applicable Hangout date. ESPN will not be liable if a participant cannot take part in a Hangout at the scheduled date and time.
It is the responsibility of qualifying participants to ensure that they have an existing Google account and sufficient bandwidth to be able to participate and contribute to a Hangout. The ESPN host shall wait for a maximum of 15 minutes after the scheduled start time for all participants to connect successfully to the service, beyond which the Hangout will take place with the available quorum of participants. Neither ESPN nor Google shall be liable for any technical problems or disruption to internet service.
ESPN reserves the right to disqualify any participant who is suspected to be using unfair means to improve his/her performance during the Hangout Stages.

Two winners from each of the 2 hangout rounds will qualify for the grand finale. Other 4 participants of each hangout round get Gift Vouchers worth INR 5,000 each.

Winners may be required to sign a prize acceptance and travel waiver form prior to awarding any Prize.
Points will be awarded based on the number of questions answered correctly and time taken to answer each question, during each stage of the Quiz. Winners will be selected in order of the highest score first unless otherwise stated, and winners with the highest points from each stage of the Quiz will be selected to take part in the next stage of the contest.
Winner(s) of each stage will be decided by the best legitimate score in that particular stage. For e.g. winner(s) of Powerplay 1 will be decided based on best legitimate score in Powerplay 1.
Score here means the score of a particular attempt. A user can have maximum 3 attempts in a day. Thus, even 1 attempt can qualify a user to the next round if the score in that attempt falls into the top 3 of that week.
Cancellation or Disqualification
ESPN reserves the right to disqualify:
- Late, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted, lost, illegible or invalid entries;
- Entries where appropriate parental authorisation is or was not provided;
- Entries where entrants or parents, without ESPN’s prior written consent, publicises (including, without limitation publication on blogs and social networks) or discusses with any third party any information relating to the competition (including without limitation information in relation to the competition or ESPN), except where such information is already public knowledge;
- Where requested, entrants who fail to disclose in writing full details of any and all criminal or civil proceedings/actions pending, proceedings served and/or convictions unspent as at the date of opening of the competition; or
- Entrants whose conduct (and/or whose Parent’s conduct) during the competition may bring ESPN into disrepute (as ESPN may decide in its discretion).
ESPN reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the competition or extend or resume the entry period or disqualify any participant at any time without giving advance notice and will do so if it cannot be guaranteed that the competition can be carried out fairly or correctly for technical, legal or other reasons or if ESPN suspects that any person has been manipulating entries or the results, or has provided false information or has acted unethically in any other way. ESPN has the sole right to suspend, postpone, cease, close or terminate the competition at any given point of time at its sole option and discretion.
In the event that ESPN wishes to contact you (or a winner’s parent or guardian) in connection with your entry we will do so via an email ending in 'ESPN.com' or by phone with a follow up e-mail. Any email which appears to come from ESPN but using a different ending (e.g. hotmail.com, yahoo.com etc) should be treated with suspicion and forwarded to ESPN. DO NOT respond or act on any e-mail if you are not sure that it comes from ESPN. If you are in any doubt please contact ESPN.
Winners may be required to participate in reasonable related publicity without further payment or permission. As a condition of being awarded a Prize, except where prohibited by law, you agree that ESPN may publish first name, surname initial, age, town/city and/or likeness, without limitation, for promotional purposes.
Winners will be notified within 14 days of the Closing Date by email and/or by telephone. Prizes must be accepted within 14 days of notification. To claim the Prize, winners should follow the instructions contained in their notification. Winners will receive Prizes within 21 days of acceptance. All Prizes are awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). In the event any of the Winners do not accept or agree to the terms as stated herein, the Prize shall remain with ESPN who at its sole discretion may offer the same to the next eligible winner.
Winners shall be solely responsible for any and all costs associated with collection and/or delivery of the Prize.
At your option, You (and if you are a minor, your parents or legal guardian) hereby authorize and consent to the use of your personal and/or sensitive information (“Data”) by ESPN including its affiliates, agents, advisors or subcontractors (“Authorized Entities”), for such lawful purposes as may be deemed necessary including for distribution of any prize to You, if applicable, pursuant to these Terms and Conditions. You understand and acknowledge that (i) the Data is Your personal or sensitive personal information as understood within the meaning of the applicable laws; (ii) You have voluntarily and at Your option, agreed to provide the Data to the Authorized Entities for such lawful purposes as may be deemed necessary pursuant to these Terms & Conditions; and (iii) the Data will or may be transferred by the Authorized Entities including its affiliates, agents or subcontractors, for such lawful purposes as may be deemed necessary pursuant to these Terms & Conditions.
If filming is required the winners may be asked to consent to filming a television and/or website appearance in relation to the prize (the “Contribution”) and in such event the winner shall consent to the recording and/or broadcasting of the Contribution and the winner’s Parent or legal guardian, on behalf of the winner, shall assign to ESPN all rights of whatsoever nature, including all copyright in respect of the Contribution and grant all further consents or licences necessary to enable the fullest use of the Contribution throughout the universe in perpetuity by any and all means in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter developed, without liability or acknowledgement.
If a child is to be filmed ESPN will work with winner’s parent or guardian to arrange a child license for the child from their local authority (if required).
